First part in the"Rai National Symphonic Orchestra", he got his violin diploma at the "G.Verdi" Conservatory in Turin with highest marks under the guide of Prof. Christine Anderson. He won two scholarship for the best quartet exam diploma.
He improved himself in Vicenza in the string quartet with Franco Rossi at the Superior International Academy of music in Biella in the class of Corrado Romano.
Prized in various national and international contests, Roberto develops an intense solo and chamber activity within the Rai Orchestra and with some of the best Italian chamber groups:
Mantua Chamber Orchestra, Pavia Solists, The Scala Chamber, with solists like Pietro De Maria, Enrico Dindo, Andrea Lucchesini, Danilo Rossi, Giugliano Carmignola, Massimo Quarta, Alexander Lonquish, Shiomo Mintz, playing in the most important concert halls and international festivals.
Roberto realized numerous tournée in France, Switzerland, Spain, England, Germany, Austria, Greece, Czechoslovakia, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Denmark, Japan, The U.S.A. and South America, with various radio television recordings and recordings: Rai, Claves, Teldec, Decca, Bayerischen Rundfunk, Video Radio Classic, Velut Luna.
He played under the direction of famous Maestros like: Sinopoli, Prètre, Giulini, Sawallisch, Maazel, Metha, Bychkov, Chung, Temirkanov, Gergiev, Rostopovich, Muti, receiving particular appreciation.
In 2002 he was invited by Maestro Gianandrea Noseda to take stable part in the Stresa Festival Orchestra in the role of first part.
For the temporary “Rai New Music” seasons 2004 and 2005, Roberto has played as solo the first absolute execution in the “Traumerish Konzert” for violin and orchestra by A. Gagliano and the lyric poem “Anahit” for violin and chamber orchestra by Giacinto Scelsi at the “G.Agnelli” Auditorium at LIngotto in Turin.
He was invited to the theatre “La Fenice” , theatre “La Scala”, the “Scala Chamber”, the “Scala Philharmonic” with which he has cooperated since 1999 as second violin and first violin concertino.
First violin in the ensemble “Geometrie Variabili” and “7/8 Ensemble” in the Rai O.S.N., he cooperates in the same role with:
Bergamo Festival Orchestra “Gaetano Donizetti”, Trento Chamber Orchestra, The Scala Chamber.
Since 2005 he has been a teacher at the “Accademia De Sono” forming chamber orchestras and first part in the “Archi” of Turin.
As invited by Maestro Enrico Dindo he takes part in the role of first part in I Solisti di Pavia.
He takes part in “I Solisti d’Europa” group of archi mainly formed by by First parts such as: Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, Teatro alla Scala, O.S.N. Rai debuting at Teatro alla Scala on 15th November, 2008.
He plays a “Giuseppe Rocca” violin dated 1844.
